Over the years I have seen two Grand Cherokee's with diesels in them that I believe to have been factory installs, both had Nissan Patroler engines in them. One was in Italy and the other was here in the Philippines. The one in Italy was mint, but that was about 10 years ago. I always thought diesel powered light vehicles was a great idea. here in the PI about 80% of the vehicles are diesel. Diesel is also cheaper than gas here.

It's the same old 3.0 from way back the diesel jeeps are more popular in Canada and Mexico areas very few in the states I myself have worked on one and the guy that owns it moved from up north
