I personally wouldn't cut into the bumper support. Is it possible to mount it in front of the radiator?

Yes it is possible in other locations but I have the pipes for what I need to install in this location.

Is there a way you could re-enforce the support after you cut it? I know I have done things like that to other cars and later regretted it. I think it was a safety issue for me. Just be careful if you decide to put the cooler there. Safety first!

I have been wanting to put a front mount intercooler behind a 'modified-into-functional' SRT10 front bumper for a long time now... I just need to get other projects done first!

My plan was to make a frame out of 2x2 tubing to both hold the i/c and reinforce the front bumper. You want to get a rather deep core since the surface area wouldn't be real large. The one thing that worried me that I never looked into yet is the aerodynamics. I know this is a truck, aka brick and the word 'aerodynamics' doesn't really mean much... but at high speeds I wasn't sure how the truck would react with air being directed underneath where it was once not able to go.

Please, if you do go ahead with it, take lots of pics and keep me/everyone informed!

Looks great! You Sure don't waste any time, do ya? Keep the pics coming!

If you want another DIY way to increase the efficiency of your intercooler, you could hook an extra pump up to your winshild washer resevior (or get another tank) and direct the sprayers at the intercooler. May not be practical to use all the time, but it will help make up for the smaller size intercooler you were able to go with on a large displacement motor. Either that or go straight to the CryO2 Kit. .
