As most of you know I traded trucks last October. As usual I got Sirius radio with my truck.
I called Sirius to cancelled my old account and "tried" to get the remaining time transferred to the new truck. Last month (January) I received a bill for over $100 for a past due account. I called and got a customer service rep in the Philippine Islands. After over an hour, due to their screwed up automated phone system I finally managed to get a live person. I "thought" the issue had been taken care of. A few days ago I received another email about my past due account.
Needless to say I was some what "ticked". Another, over an hour and a half phone call to the Philippine's and was told it had all been taken care of. Well, y'all know me! I had to let them know how unhappy I was with their Customer Service (Miss-named). More emails today and 2 incoming phone calls. I have yet to get anyone in the US to respond to anything.
If there was another similar service I would change in a heart beat. Evidently all business is handled in the P.I. Having spent almost 2 years, in and out of there back in the 60's I could speak some Tagalog, but not enough to get what I consider anything resembling Customer Service.
I am so sick off doing business with people in other countries, with broken English I could spit nails. What they spend on international phone service has got to be outrageous. Why not have someone here in the US to take care of customer issues? We'll see how long it takes to get another bill or more garbage from an inept company, when it comes to Customer Care.

Doug,,take a chill pill,,you gonna be a grand pa in a few months. We want you to be around to enjoy spoiling him/her. Don"t let the minor things cloud up the major issues in life.

Thought for times like this; --When a radiator boils over it can blow a gasket----so cool down you are going to need to be in good working order to play with the baby. SMILE and have a great Day.

Doug - I dumped Sirius/XM and now have Pandora. It's Internet radio that sounds better than S/XM and only costs $36 a YEAR. You can also get it for free but the sound quality is less and you get ads every 30 minutes.
You have to have a Smart phone to use the service

I'm chilled Ken, but I hate so many companies sending their customer service over seas.
Great idea Mark...if I was smart enough to use a "smart" phone.

I feel for you Doug. I truley do. here in this country our main telephone provider for landlines is called Telecom and doesnt have a physical address. its either online or the phone. Their call centre is in INDIA and the operators are trained to sound like Kiwi's over the phone so customers dont become too xnophobic. it doesnt work for me and lament the fact good kiwi people lost their jobs to the third world.

Ringing our Inland Revenue Service is worse because you have to comunicate with a talking computer which asks questions and doesnt understand the answers. people get very pissed off with this and often tell the machine where it can put its questions before hanging up. Then they get called back by the IRS and via a recorded message are told not to swear at the operator, which is a machine. Its all very frustrating. and another way the system wages war on the little people.

I used to live in the mountains in a log cabin and sometimes rue the day I left.
