I know we have some astronomy buffs on here. I'm getting back into amateur astronomy again. I have an 80 mm Orion refractor scope with tripod, a 10 inch dobsonian reflector scope (Orion XT-10), and Orion 12x63 astronomical binoculars with tripod mount. Also a lot of accessories.

The night sky is absolutely full of wonderful things to see. Star clusters, nebula, galaxies, and of course the planets and their moons. Is anyone else into amateur astronomy or would like to be? It is a great hobby.

If you have a decent set of binoculars, say 8x40, 7x35, 7x50, or 10x50, you would be amazed what you can see in the night sky. Using both eyes gives a wider field of view than a one eye telescope. A tripod is a big help as is a parallelogram mount for the tripod. I just ordered the parallelogram mount.

Here is a good read about binocular astronomy.
