This is really for anyone who can answer this, currently doing some work overseas and during my break periods (30 days). I'm looking at potential places in Canada relatively close to the US border to rent a home in. I've looked at Toronto and Niagra areas but not to sure of what else falls into this guideline. Looking for something reasonably close to a sizeable airport that would allow family to fly in, rent a car and make for an easy drive to wherever I may find. Any thoughts/input is greatly appreciated.

Not at all, just uneducated about what else fits the bill in terms of what I'm looking for. All I've been to is Toronto and the US side of the falls, and way out BFE Yukon Territory for some hunting. Don't know of anything else really.

I would head west but I'm biased I would think prices are cheaper in the prairie provinces such as Alberta, Saskatchewan, or Manitoba. Winnipeg is about an hour from the border, Regina is just over 2hrs, Calgary 3hrs. Canada is a BIG place so driving a few hours is routine. I guess it all depends on what you want to do when you get here.

New Zealand might be a tad to expensive for everyone to come visit.

great hunting and fishing though. And the natives stopped eating people a few years ago. Welfare and supermarkets soothe the savage beast.
