And here I see the door sticker to prove it. This was one of the first ones I guess and it was some sponsored truck before this guy got it by a hunting company or something he said. He removed all the decals and what not and put some wheels on it.

That is the oldest 3rd gen ive seen built. Im going to bet it used the JTEC pcm with that 5.9 gas motor which I've also have never seen used. Thats a rare truck.. nice find. Hmmm it could also be using a 46re transmission?

It is a 5.9 gas engine. I have to do some work on it next week so I will check what trans is in there and let you know on that one.

there are G3 02s all over the Northest, 5.9 5.2s 4.7s and a few V10s , the rarest of the V10s are late, 2500s (may build date) the 1500s are the 03 style and most of the 2500 and 3500s were the o1 style. but late May the 2500s started to come out with the 03 style.
Here's an 02 5.9 truck far from me.

all I want to know is who in their right mind would think a 3.7 V6 should be in a QCLB4x4 .......

Thinking out loud about 46re tcm. These are primitive in comparison to the 545rfe. VSS, n/p, od and tc lockup are connected to the trans itself. A rpm adapter would be needed to provide tach input. And i think the tcm also requires tps input. I think a 46re tcm could be wired up and used.
