Ok guys/gals... I am at a loss here.... this started a couple of weeks ago.. and it has gotten worse. My cluster will almost.. reboot itself. The tach and speedo go to 0.... all the other gauges stay reading correctly. The " no bus" message pops up on the message center and all dummy lights come on. During the day when it does this the head lights flash on and off... and at night if the fog lights are on.. they randomly come on and off. Randomly the air bag light will come on.. and go off. I am at a loss here.... today once it was warm outside.. it did not do it.... as soon as I got back to work.. had the ac going... it started the rebooting thing.. I turned the AC off... and after a min of warming up the system stopped... I turned the ac back on... after a couple minutes the cluster went crazy again... it seems to do it under cooler conditions... im flat out confused..... and I dont want to take my truck to the dealer... I used to work at GM and I hate the labor rates the dealers get as im ASE certified ect.. but very new to these dodge systems.. Im a GM junky... and I trust next to no one around here... Ernie that worked in titusville has moved to a different dealer... so I dont know how to get this checked!!!! Any advice on this? Bad Cluster? Bad ground? Bad Connection?

The cluster is a module everything in the truck dash area runs thru it kinda like a switch board especially the lights they had to have a way to monitor everything and that's where they thought would be a good idea I am also ASE master certified fix vehicles all day long pull that cluster out and open in up look for any signs of hot or melted resistors or wiring connections bad ground is unlikely haven't come across any as of yet but check cluster first not to hard to do then go from there if u attend car show Sunday with truck will take a look with yah

the last one you can see what im talking about wires go from switch to cluster then back out theres you problem and whatever is causing the headlight issues is tied to the cluster issue internally open that thing up bet you find a surprise down side its not the cheapest part if i recall

these are the wiring diagrams for your dash and you can see all the lights tie into it kinda stupid but thats how they monitor the being out in the trucks now you can see a wire leaves the dash cluster and returns for the lights

Well... Greg's 07 just started doing this today.. we installed a bypass relay for the radio pioneer head unit on sat for it.. just like what's in mine.. this wouldnt have any effect on the cluster would it? Or is it just bad timing... LOL.

Good question whoevers truck does it more often diss able the radio and relay and see if it stops you won't have any music for a little bit but hey it's a free test
