I have just got me a 62 d100 long bed for project. It has a 318 poly and three on tree trans. Truck does run and drive but has blow by. I think im going to go with gasser look. I want to use the 318 but swap an auto trans in. I was hoping to find some help on building this motor I have read some online articles but I can get more help here I think.I want to have a three dueces setup and 402 stroker. Any lead on these parts or good builder for motor would help.

IMHO, a 440, and torque flite, would be better, and cheaper.

I've thought about 440 but kinda like the being different part of the poly. I may just rebuild do a big bore and a nice lumpy cam with a four barrel some headers and a torque flite.
