03 grand caravan refuel problems

Help needed, my wife's 2003 Grand Caravan is having refueling issues. All reports say to replace the tank, because the rollover valve is stuck closed. Is there any way to move it ? A new tank is $950 from the dealer, a used one from the junk yard is $125 . Any help is appreciated. Thanks, John

To confirm that issue go under van and disconnect the 3/4" plastic hose running to the carbon canister from the tank and attempt to fill van without and issue if it still acts up then rollover is bad and tank swap is only fix not serviceable

Thanks for the reply. Yup tried that and it still doesn't take fuel. Time to trade it in I think.

Hi, again, the van took gas today just like it should for no reason. Since my problem started I have been gassing it up 8/ths at a time, usually took me about 20 minutes to fill it up. Did my luck change or is it tricking me ? John

May have freed up but don't assume it will stay that way may just be a fluke.
