New here and i dont know if i belong here please let me know.

Hi there I have read just a small ammount of posts on here and i am impressed at the reading so far.

The reason I think i might not fit in here is because I dont have a 03 or newer truck with a hemi heck i dont even have a truck with a hemi but i hope to soon i have a truck (a 1971 dodge D-100) and i just got a 04 5.7 liter hemi so i have been looking on the internet for a place to find information about what i might need or basically answers to question i am shure to pop up trying to put this thing together. i will try to add a pic of my truck but usually have not been to sucsessful at doing those types of things. so please let me know if i would be a welcome addition to this forum.

Thanks for the welcome messages. I hope to add to this sight as much as I learn from it.

A little information about my project is its a 1971 dodge shortbed. it did have a 340 six pack motor but i am trading it for a 68 camaro... but i did trade the same person a bbc for a 04 hemi out of a ram with 63k miles.

things done to the 71 so far has been all side marker lights and emblems have been shaved, the hood cowl vents have been filled in, the frame has been completley gone through and painted ...I still dont like the stance so i am putting a mustangII front end under it. should lower it 7 inches in the front, and yes i cut the roof off the windshield is just sitting in in for now the hemi i got in trade is out of a 4wd truck so i have to switch it back to a 2wd unit and i did find an article showing how easy it is to do on a 45rfe but i think i have a 545rfe i wonder what the difference is. well i am shure there is a thread on here that lists the differences.

other info .... my other projects/cars i own
2004 srt-10 ram
1985 corvette (trying to sell this one)
1978 trans am
1968 camaro

Hi Brian! The only requirement for membership here is a hemi powered truck or SUV, but we do allow members that intend to install one in their vehicle. The decision on your membership is up to the Forum Manager. At least for now enjoy the site and feel free to ask any questions you have.
I would be interested in seeing how your project truck comes along. A crate engine Hemi would sure be sweet in that.
