New Guy From MD

Hey everyone I'm Jay, just picked up a new to me 04 Ram Solar Yellow 5.7 Hemi QC. So far I love this truck. I'm a Dakota guy so getting into a Ram has been a huge change. Thus far I've had to replace the entire front suspension Upper/Lower Control arms, Steering Rack, Power Steering Pump, and all Pressure hoses associated with the system. I've also replaced the tensioner pulley and the free floating pulleys, and lights. All of this has been done in order to pass MD state Inspection. After I pass inspection the plan is to put one of my GT45 turbo's on this truck. Intended use is as a daily and tow rig for my Drag Dakota. Looking forward to seeing all of the builds and information about Rams on this forum.

Welcome to the forum. Our 3g's are getting older and often have things showing their age. Is your Dak hemi powered?

Welcome to HTC.

Not sure if you can get your Hemi tuned with a turbo for towing performance. But, Hemi's can be fun with a little boost and the correct mods to the engine, trans, and gearing.

Thanks Everyone, I appreciate the warm welcome....... The Dak is not Hemi powered yet, but I plan to pick up a BGE block for it, so I can run it in the Modern Street Hemi Shoot events I run my Challenger in currently. The Ram will get eventual track time as well, but I really need to turbo it to increase it's towing capability.

As a side note, I got the old girl to pass Md state inspection, only after I fixed the seat motor that moved it up and down..... What a PITA that repair is in case anyone has to do it. Anyways I'll be asking more questions here very soon, thanks again for the warm welcome.
