Bee Owner From Houston

Just bought a new to me Rumble Bee #0762.

Did not waste anytime on some mods, flexalite efan, mcgaughys 2-4.5 drop kit, tinted headlights, and yellow fogs.

Currently putting together a 6.4 based 448 stroker for it should be out of machine shop early next week.

I have a built 46re with cope racing full manual valvebody ready as soon as engine is done.

Welcome aboard, sounds like you are well on your way to having a badass truck.. I really like your choice of using a 46re trans. I converted to a Martin Saine built 46re 5 years ago and it has held up with the only issue being a CRT (John Cope) manual valve body which failed to function properly. John is a deadbeat oweing me money for repairs. There have been several of his vb's used by forum members with to my knowledge none of them without issues.. John talks a good line but my experience has shown his products are not ready for the market. Good luck...

Yes, it is expected good pieces can be pricey. John's product descriptions are very inviting. Having OD on the stick along with 1st, 2nd and 3rd is very trick.. and no one I know of is offering it except John. I'm still looking for Martin to build me a vb with that capability. The shifter John is offering looks to compliment the vb discription nicely.. and no doubt I would have bought one if I or John could have gotten his vb to to work correctly. Just for information, any three speed automatic shifter will operate a 46rh/re or even the 545rfe for that matter.

Yeah that shifter he offers definitely compliments his VB nicely. I have the transbrake *** well and lockup and I think I saw that the shifter includes the buttons on the handle.

Any major issues with the 46re bolting up to the factory ram cross member or drive shaft ?

There are a couple threads on the forum covering installs. But when using a flexplate for bolting a 46rh converter to a modern hemi, either a 46rh/05 manual starter. The transmission simply bolts up. The cross member needs to elongate tits holes about 3/8" and the stock driveshaft can be simply bolted up.
