2018 hemi truck club annual Florida christmas party

Well folks the countdown to Christmas is underway. Christmas is a time for reflection, good cheer, and a time for friends and family. Each year we meet to let the warmth and friendship we share with our fellow Hemi Truck Club members and to celebrate the spirit of the season.

I am proposing this now so as to give you ample time to arrange your schedules to allow you to attend this year’s festivities. December 8th should be a good date. This year I would like to suggest we have our party at a different themed restaurant. Instead of the traditional BBQ, how about Italian cuisine. I have found a place in central Florida at Kissimmee named Tarentino’s that has decent reviews and is priced about the same as the previous years BBQ joints. I will make a visit to Tarentino’s in the near future to check it out and will post my review of the place.

Regardless of when or where we decide to hold our party, we must remember that Christmas should be about helping others. It’s the day an innkeeper helped a homeless pregnant woman about to have a baby. In the past we have collected toys for the US Marines “Toys For Tots” program. Considering that our membership is down, I am requesting that each member bring a new, unwrapped toy to the party which to be delivered to the US Marines collection center for distribution.

Please use this thread ONLY to post your opinion of my proposal and to offer any changes you want to make. Time is of the essence because party venues fill up early.

I was always taught to respect my elders but, it keeps getting harder to find any.
