11.09 @ 120.13mph!!

Took the blue truck to the track yesterday to make a few nitrous passes, and ended up running a new best of 11.09 @ 120.13MPH. I have a few small tweaks to make for next time where I am almost positive we will see a 10.9 on the stock bottom end and the stock transmission.

You really have her working great! Very impressive....
Hmmmm stock bottom? Is that a reference to the oil pan?

This is a stock bottom end 5.7 with just ported 5.7 heads and a bigger cam. The short block is completely stock still. I'm just waiting to crack 10.9, so that I can pull this motor out and go big.

Is the bigger cam still VVT design? Have you dyno'd the motor? I'm sure the numbers are impressive. Hell everything about the truck is impressive. Well done... What have you in mind for a big motor?

Yes, this is still a VVT cam. I have not had it on the dyno, but I'm guessing that its making around 450 on motor and 600 on the bottle.

New motor is a 6.2L based 422" stroker. Going full standalone with a cable driven throttle body, Turbo 400 transmission with manual valvebody, and narrowed Ford 9" rear. It is going full blown race truck, but not until I hit 10.9 on the 5.7 first.

Well brother, not trying to put you on the spot but I have to ask about choosing a 400 turbo over the proven 727. They both have the same parasitic loss. Low gear is close, 727 is lighter. Both can use manual vb and 1st gear can be changed if wanted. T400 requires an adaptor, 727 doesn't. And of course I have a vested interest in the 727 since I'm using a variation of the 727 in my truck which makes me curious. Kudos for building one badass truck....

4th and 5th are always the first to go on these transmissions. Its the same as the 3rd gens with the 545RFE. Avoid any WOT downshifts or any top speed runs where you get into 4th at WOT, and you will be fine.
