1978 Dodge club cab dually, is this a rare Truck?

In central Virginia you won't see any. I fairly often see dodge trucks going back to early 90's but anything older is rare.

Thanks Greg, there's one for sale not far from me, it's been stripped down, engine and box out all trim and interior taken out. Not what I'm looking but might be worth a look then.

A 1 ton dually wouldn't be the first choice for most folks. But possibly put the body on a 1/2 ton type frame, maybe with a diesel engine and make a rat rod....

I was thinking, paint throw it back together sell it and buy the D series that I want, I did see an orange one in the back ground so might try make a deal with two, I think the dually has a 383.

A 383 would not be the engine it came with originally. The D Series are cool in my book. I'd like to have a 93' diesel 4wd.

My Dad had a 72 ex USAF D100 custom, It just went on for ever had a 318 in it, ran it out of oil, blow a core plug on it and it just kept going!!!!

Yep the 72 short bed were very cool. The old long stroke 318 were tough engines.

up till about 2 years ago i had a 87 D100 with the lant 6,,,,,, u couldnt kill it,,, i let it go cause i didnt have the money are the physical hearth to fix it,,, someone had lowerd it by cutting the springs and cutting the back shackles,,, look good but road ruff as hell,,,, well i ran it till it was down two cylinder still was running just had to do the three step,,,lol
