My qc is getting a new cluch.

As I've mentioned my 07 qc clutch started slipping after I installed a Smarty tuner which is badass. I towed red 150 miles round-trip last weekend and had to be really soft on the accelerator to keep her from slipping in 6 gear, or even 5th at times. Bought a southbend single disc 3600# with a solid 1 piece flywheel. This more clutch than I need, but is said to still be smooth shifting with smooth engagement. Which is more than can be said for the heavier clutch combos. It comes with new hydraulics to make it a more streetable. I think it is rated at 550hp and 1000ftlbs. All of which this truck will never see. My friend has a lift available for me to use tomorrow, so it is going to be a long day for this old man. Going to use a synthetic 50w gear oil instead of ATF-4. The solid flywheel will significantly increase gear roll over noise and this will make it quieter. Strange Mercedes Benz doesn't recommend the ATF-4 fluid but the 50w. I'll hopefully let you all know how it works tomorrow night. Now the real question I have. There are hundreds if not thousands of 50, 100 or even 1000 ton stones used I'd ancient construction. How were they moved or shaped? We with our Advance technology can't, so what's up with this?

Most people don't have the stones for that kind of work anymore

Took about 5 hours on a 4 post with a heavy duty trans jack. We left the T case attached. Also installed a new hydraulic master and slave cylinder. I had mechanic friend help me. He's half my age and a excellent mechanic. DM is massive and took a bit to get off. Would not recommend this be done in a driveway. Someone could get hurt.
