Not a truck but it does fall under the category of hemi and other vehicles, yes?
So i picked up last january a slightly used 2006 jeep commander with 132k on the clock.
We also own a Daytona ram awd/hemi and loved the combo so when the jeep came up for sale i was all in.
Besides the hemi/awd similarity the 2 rides could NOT feel more differant then each other.
My biggest btch about the jeep so far is the electrical snafu's that seam to plague the early production commanders.
Had 3 open recalls fixed. Was told some of the parts/reflash tech stuff , had only become available recently....wow..
The idea i guess was to compete with the like of hummer and land rover..So the limited commander is all leather, electronic everything...A soccer moms dream[previous owner] thats trail rated "WITH A HEMI".
Any one else chime in on awd/hemi's
Big questions or info im looking into are other folks who have similar awd/hemi combo's. Age/mileage...Will the tranny take extra power[built motor?] etc...How expensive will it be to fix when the time comes? Are they basicly the same as the newer awd systems on the market today.
My Daytona has 107K well kept miles..never beat or spun a tire[awd
] feels tight...
Jeep is @137K squeaks the tire every time out, burns out wheel sensors, front end parts..Seams quite trail worthy for a top heavy jeep muscling through the woods hemi powered.
