Buddy of mine is going through his mid-life crisis. Bought himself a black GT. Very nice looking. Pretty peppy too. Auto though, but I don't blame him. It is his daily driver. Sure would like to see a Charger R/T up against it. Probably be a close race. They don't seem to have as much low end though as one would expect. It pulled after 3000RPM more than anything. But unless you romped it off the line or powerbrake it, it doesn't seem to do very well off a roll. I think a Charger would hand its butt to him from a rolling start.
My daughter & I bought our vehicle's back to back, my first bran-new trk & her 2nd mustang GT Roush "Package" (not edition)...(spoiled brat!). Basically it has everything a roush has except the blower & cam & motor hell ,I dont know, shaker cai hood & stero, everything Shaker.. The cai or motor is signed(whatever that means) there is a metal plate engraved w/ a sig, date ,time etc, anyway the damn thing is a land rocket... Since I sc'd my trk (4x4) I can take her from start But after that, well....I drove a charger (loaner) the first week after getting my trk ( being detailed), & comparison, it was close, to close to tell by driving each veh. I tried to get her to line up & she would'nt.. Next time I take my trk in for sumpton, I'll work on that & post the result's
Ive seen auto 05+ body style Gt mustangs run 15.1-15.6
I give that two thumbs down.
My buddy at work has an auto 06 gt mustang, and I walk all over him in my truck without the bottle.. The 5 speed is a different story. I have seen those go as quick as 13.9 stock
