Blend Door?

My 07 Ram 2500 QC I believe has a blend door problem. Just replaced the condensor, compressor, dryer and orfice line. Charged it with 1lb 14oz of freon. Tested the engine pmw fan hub and it runs at various speeds. Everything looks good except the AC air is not as strong or cold as I expect. Believe the blend dopr is broken but have never experienced a broken door so am not sure. So anyone with experience with this that has suggestion on a fix is welcome to chime in..

Greg, just did mine a few months ago. Easy as pie through the fan hole.

you can reach up and feel if the door is broken. even temporatily tape it closed until you can get a new one.

i got a steel shaft door from

Dodge Ram '02-'08 - HeaterTreater

Actually I did the recirc door. Sorry. But they still have everything you need. with videos

Watched the videos. The guy really doesn't disassemble anything but sorta butchers his way into removing the doors. My main symptoms is not real cold air coming from the vents. So I'll call that a broken blend door. I'll have to pull it apart and see what is wrong. Comments are appreciated.

The dash come out very easily. Do you have dual temp or single temp control? When you turn dial does the temp change or do you hear any clicking? The firewall line is it hot skinny and cold big?

Keith, the temp goes up and down with turning the temp control. Temp turned down all the way gets cool, but not cold. Temp turned up, is really hot. The vents do not blow hard, but can be selected (slowly) It's single control system. The truck has had a commercial life. Everything sorta works.... what door(s) do you think I need. I can take it to my freinds shop and have it evacuated.

Ok, you guys with experience with this, which door or doors do you think I should have on hand when I pull the old girl apart?

There is a couple ways to fix this. Buy a cheap blend door repair kit from ebay and see it that works. If it doesn't then I'll get the US Bend Door replacement set and chande everything. If I pull the the dash I'll replace the evap core as well. Hopefully a simple fix will take care of it.

And you are sure its not the recirc door? That is the usual first one to go.

And the easiest one to replace. I had mine go bad on both the 03 and 05. All other doors on both trucks are and were fine.
