found this on the build sheet for our 2006 hemi durango, but have been unable to find a defination for the XBNS Tip Start -- since our one key fob doesn't work, I am unable to test it for remote start (indicated function). Help
My truck has tip start, and my understanding is that when you turn the ignition to start, and quickly release the key, the starter will stay engaged until the engine starts. This is what my truck does on start, if I let go of the key immediately, but it only takes a few seconds for the engine to start.
Yep that's exactly what it is. Just bump the key and it will crank till it fires or 30secs which ever comes first. Only down side is there's no more just bump it over for me in the engine bay like the old days.
