Transmission Solenoid Pack Recall

FCA is issuing a recall for the transmission solenoid pack for 2016 and 2017 Ram trucks. The solenoid coil terminals are faulty and will cause the engine light to come on. This condition may cause the transmission to be limited to one gear and maximum speed of 30-45 mph and will illuminate the malfunction indicator lamp.

This is currently what my truck is doing now I'm bringing it in tomorrow to be repaired.

When I first brought it in to the dealer their code reader said it was an emissions problem, so it might be two different things going on, hopefully they will figure it out.

Just so you are all aware the recall solenoid pack CCDHT151AA is the exact same part as the 52119435AF solenoid with the white connector except at a fraction of the cost. If you need to replace one, order the recall part instead. It's amazing how inexpensive the part becomes once Chrysler is footing the bill.

It shouldn't cost you a penny if you take it to your dealer. it's covered under warranty since the recall is only for 2016 and 2017 Ram trucks equipped with a 65/66 RFE transmission.

Yes but that is only if the recall applies to your vehicle. I have updated the solenoid in my 2003 and it is the same part now as the recall part.
