What gear ratio do you recommend?

I have a 2006 1500 4x4 QC sport. Its got 325/60 20 tires that measure 35" tall. I barely ride on the highway. I'd like to get better response and better take off from light to light. What do you guys think?

What gear ratio do you guys recommend? Any brands that are better than others? Where can I find a reasonably priced set?

IMHO it really depends on your highway driving vs in town driving. If you do most of your driving in town then probably 4.56's. If you drive on the highway alot then maybe a set of 4.11's. You'll have to change both the front and rear diff. so it ain't going to be cheap.

I'm thinking 4.56 but not sure. I never drive on the highway but when I do it's to take a weekend trip up north or something usually a few hours away.

Whats the worst of having 4.56's with 35" tires on the highway? Is it running high rpm? Bad fuel economy?

I ran 4.56 gears for years with my 32" tall tires at 80mph and 2-2200 rpm did just fine mpg wise you will like 4.56 and it will get you moving better

Putting in 4.56s will gear it down a lot for sure but the taller tire will bring it back up some. Might perform similar to 4:10s and leaving the tires stock, maybe a few more rpms at highway but it shouldn't be all that excessive. I'm guessing once the speedo is calibrated for both changes should prob run 2200-2300ish @ 60 mph. My truck with 4:10s on the stock tires(edit: 32.5" tall) ran just shy of 2000 rpms @ 60 mph. Keep in mind those numbers are quasi-guesses based on what my truck ran. I know there's a formula somewhere to plug in some numbers and see what it looks like on paper before you go ahead and spend the money

Use this to get an idea on your RPM per tire size.

mph x gear ratio x 336

4.56's to move that heavy 4 door 4x4 with 35" of rolling mass you have there.
Ran 4.10's and 4.88's Yukon and both were silent. Currently running Motive 4.56's and they are also silent. All was done by the same installer so a lot also comes down to install vs brand.
