I'm not here to intentionally ruin a company's reputation. Only to make others aware of my issues with them. I bought a stage 2 performance trans for my 04 dodge ram from sharadon performance. After installation I had major shifting issues with third gear. Come to find out, the valve body in the trans from sharadon was faulty. So Denny sent me a new one to fix the issue. Only problem with that was it took an entire month and numerous phone calls and e-mails to get the replacement valve body to me. During that month, i also noticed a steady drip coming from the front of the transmission bell housing. I ended up having to take the truck to the dealer to have the leak fixed. The local dealer removed the transmission and found that Sharadon had nicked/torn one of the seals on the front pump when he was putting it together. I informed Denny at sharadon of my issues and he said there was no way he could have made that mistake and that the leak was somehow my fault, despite the receipt that i sent him from the dealership stating otherwise. All in all, I bought a $2500 transmission from their company that ended up costing me $3300 total and it took over a month just to get a working transmission. Denny has since stopped answering my phone calls and will no longer respond to my e-mails. Buyers beware. And if you want proof, I will send you the receipt from the dealer and all of the e-mails ive saved from sharadon.

That's a Shame because we have three Sharadon trans down here in Florida and all have had there quirks but Denny helped us out on them maybe its a sign of the times he may be backed up who knows

Does the trans work good now though

The trans seems to work fine. But as far as the shifting goes, it feels exactly like stock with the second valve body he sent me. It was shifting really snappy thru each gear with the original valve body he sent me but the downshift in third gear was causing a bang and jerk. Sadly, I feel like he shipped me a stock valve body as a replacement as the quick shifts are gone and it feels the exact same as it used to now before I put the stage two trans in. Really disappointing...

A damaged seal on the front of the transmission would be caused during the installation of the torque converter. Did Sharadon install the transmission into your truck or did somebody else? Did they provide a new torque converter pre-installed on the transmission? If the converter was installed by others, it won't be Sharadon's responsibility, but if they sold the transmission and converter together it was likely caused by them.

I'm in agreement that whoever installed the TQ converter more than likely damaged the seal. I know I always pull it to put oil in it and just generally mess with it and I'm sure I'm not the only one that does stuff like that. But not being careful or not oiling it properly certainly can lead to troubles. I have a stage III VB that I haven't installed yet and of course always looking for sharper shifts. But with that said I have heard the stage III can be too much for a street ride and really needs a higher stall converter to soften it some. What converter are you using?

The seal that was damaged was not the torque converter seal. It was the "outer gasket" that was pinched/torn according to the service writer and the tech at the dealer. I made sure i asked the tech if it was something that I could have done wrong during torque converter assembly and he said "no, absolutely not. It happened when the trans was put together." Trust me, I wouldn't be blaming Sharadon if it was something I had done when installing the converter. But yeah, the harsh shifts were fine thru each gear. I actually liked it. But when coming to a stop and the trans was downshifting from fourth to third is where I had my problem. The whole truck would lurch forward it was so violent. And I was told to run with the stock converter by Sharadon due to my application. I don't run it at the track or anything. I just wanted a tougher built trans when my stock one started slipping.

Sometimes my truck will do that just after doing a quick learn on the trans after changing something and that seal is a pita to I stall its on a round pizza pie shaped metal plate and very easy to pinch on install not to mention the inner part of that seal the same way I don't know but if Denny only managed to nick the one you happened to get its a good track record sorry you had to get the one that leaks but I work in the automotive field every day ASE Master Mechanic and I know because I have gone thru a lot of transmissions on my truck and a rebuild or two including the Sharadon trans for some research on a drain back issue that the front is no joke the real pain is where the seal is at trans has to come out

Well I hope all goes well for the truck and trans sorry to hear about your issue
