Transmission temp guage

I'm purchasing a SR-T 10 A piller pod and putting in a Trans Temp guage. Does anyone have a install instrucion for the guage. I will use a autometer guage. Thanks for any help. I don't see any instructions on the website.

My VDO trans temp gauge has a total of five wires... two power, two ground, and the sender wire. The grounds were easy. I hooked up both power wires to a switched power (comes on with the key). You will need a temp sensor (not included with the gauge). I got my sensor at
It is a single wire sensor that sits in a 1/8" threaded hole in your tranny pan (you will have to drill/tap & die your pan). I ordered the PML tranny cover mainly for this reason - they will drill and thread the hole for you at a very small additional cost. The other reason for the tranny pan is the increased capacity (three more quarts).
Run the sensor wire along with your other stock wires, hook it up to the gauge wire, and you're good to go!
One last thing - our tranny fluid runs about 125-150 degrees... if your gauge range is 150-400 degrees, the needle ain't going to move that much
