Trans Issue

Year and mods are in my sig. Hemi/545rfe combo. The codes are 0700 & 0734. The symptom is that it drops out of OD weird when you step on it. It sort of slips/shudders a bit, then you can feel it catch 3rd gear. Any ideas ?

I've found out that the 0734 means that it's slipping in 4th gear. possible causes are solenoids, speed sensors, dirty fluid or internal trans issues. Anyone seen this one, and what did you do about it ? I know my trans hasn't been serviced in at least 70K miles(shame on me, I know), but the fluid is still red, doesn't smell burnt, and it shifts fine. I'd hate to blow 300+ on a trans service and have that not be the issue(dirty fluid). If I need to get a trans, I'd rather just bite the bullet and do a nice build now. I'm my sure engine upgrades aren't helping this old trans any.

Ahhhh Balls ! that's not what I wanted to hear. oh well, we talked about this during the motor build on dodgetalk, didn't we ? I figured the new motor would eat the old trans, I just didn't know how long it would take. I guess I found out.

Having a similar issue in our 2010 with around 44,000 miles, Shifts fine 1,2,3rd at the top end of 3rd gear when its about to shift its almost like someone dumps a clutch and it revs just like it would in netural, But if you get on the throttle it seems like it wants to catch the gear but it wont, Its just slipping But we have different trouble codes, likely a rebuild or a new tranny for us.
