Solenoid Pack?

So just replaced the fuel pump and bought new tire for my ram and on the way home my check engine light came on.
My truck has been down since August with a failed fuel pump.

The last time my truck sat for more than a month i had the same code pop up ...but it would go away after a few days.

I know that the filters have to come out and the valve body dropped to get to the solenoid pack.
And i believe i'm more than capable to do it.

However if the shift pack was bad wouldn't i have transmission issues? Not shift correctly or ?????

The transmission works great with no issues at all.

So any one of you guys done this before? What should i expect?

What code are you getting?

The job itself is very easy to do just messy. Put in neutral, drop pan, unplug big clip, remove 8mm headed bolts only then lightly pry down avoiding the rain to come!

There is an update solenoid pack for the 545/68rfe trans. You must use the white plug solenoid. It's an update that super-seeds all of the other solenoid packs.

Cam plate for the updated solenoid pack. The stage 3 needs one too.

Is the solenoid pack something that can be purchased elsewhere?
Can I pick it up at Napa / Autozone/ Advanced?

Also as I asked above what exactly is the "upgrade" in the upgraded or updated pack?

I tried google but couldn't find anything concrete...

I'd go with Mopar brand. Everything I've done to my Dodges with the auto parts stores, varied in design a bit. Mopar bolted right up and was easy! Try eBay if you want it for a little cheaper than going to the dealer.

I'm in Spring also. Off Rayford and 45N. Where about are you??
