shifting issues

My 15 ram, now 6 months old, with the 8 speed is a little jerky on the 1-2 shift. This happens as I am leaving my driveway which is fairly uphill and with light throttle. Seems like it can't decide if it wants to shift or not. No other issues with the truck. Moved from a 3500 Cummins to this one and absolutely love it.
Curious if anyone has seen this.

Check your fluid levels. On a hill, this can happen if a little low on fluid. Same thing in sharp turns. Fluid shifts.

I've been told this occurs frequently in some driving situations as the transmission 'searches' for the most economical gear ratio for saving fuel...I'm not convinced this is accurate or really works in the real world...but that's what I've been told...and so it goes.

Think I read something along that line also. As there is no dipstick I will have to go underneath and pull the plug to check the level.
Thanks for the quick replys and the welcomes.

What! no Dipstick What is wrong with these people making these trucks today? I guess they really want you to need to go back to them for any and everything.

if they just had better service departments, maybe people wouldn't be looking to go elsewhere.

No dipstick is nothing new at all in many makes and models just makes it a pain and a mess to check them now

How much money does the manufacturer save by 'checking the dipstick delete' box on the build sheet . They're nuts .
