Seepage around front diffy casing

Hello all, changed oil in truck Friday afternoon. Saw seepage out of bell housing for axles & driveshaft, differential at threaded connection. Pulled fill plug and it seemed to have plenty in it. Was not like this last time i changed oil earlier this spring. What would cause this & what else should I be checking?

That is an axle tube leak not a seal leak. There really is no fix for that at all. That tube will not come out of there without a machinist setup and its an assembly type issue. The only real way you can slow that leak down and possibly stop it is to. Jack the truck up on that side so it means other way. Clean it off really good with carb/brake cleaner let it sit for a bit and dry then run a bead of ultra grey around the entire edge there trying to push some In the groove. This is not a serviceable part of the diff assembly so rigging it is the best way to stop it.

Thank you for the info! This truck has a lifetime drivetrain warranty on it (however, I have never had to try and see if they will honor it so far!).. should I take it in and have them do this?....
