Running tow/haul constantly.

So I'm new here. Don't know if this has been addressed already. If so I apologize. Is it ok to run my 2012 ram 1500 hemi in tow/haul all the time. I know it just changes the shifting points but since I'm not towing anything will it be a problem to the tranny or the engine. I like tow/haul on because it disables the ECO/MDS system which I don't like at all. Feed back greatly appreciated.

I used my SuperChips Cortex tuner to turn off MDS, I can still use tow/haul, and OD Off.

I don't plan on buying any chips or tuners at the moment so with that said will there be an issue to anything by using tow/haul mode all the time.

With a 2500 I don't have to worry about silly things like MDS

A diablosport tool can shut MDS off as well. Shutting MDS off via tuner the truck will still go into OD when tow/haul is off

Non at all might even extend the trans life a little it does firm the shift some so it won't slip/wear the clutches as fast.

Shouldn't be any problems, just watch trans temps to be sure

Running with tow/haul on all the time is perfectly safe for the truck. Shoot, it's put there to assist your truck in doing it's job of hauling things or towing things.

You will take a hit on gas mileage due to the tranny hanging on to gears a little longer and because you foot will always be in it due to the better shift feel.

They don't call it the tow/haul a$$ button for nothing!

Another way to avoid MDs without a tuner is to use you +/- button to manually select your top gear (6 or 8) on whichever tranny you got.

I agree - tuner or tow - forget the MDS 4 banger mode .
