Reverse Slip?

Every once in awhile when I put my truck into reverse it does not engage. I then have to move the shifter just a lil bit and it goes right in. Is this signs of wear on the transmission or is this just operator error of me putting it in the wrong place?

That is kinda young. Have you checked the fluid and has it been changed?

I checked the fluid yesterday, it is pink but smells like b/o or something. Levels were ok as well.

Does this happen right after a start or does it do it at random

Right after i start it and only in reverse. Other than that the transmission seems smooth.

It could be the filter delay issue bit usually that's in both drive and reverse try first checking the bushing in the shifter linkage for any signs or wearing out
