Posi Trac for my 2012

I'm looking to get posi for my 2012 ST with the 65RFE transmission and I want to keep my 3.92 gears. Any suggestions for which ones I should look at? I generally prefer to stick with Mopar parts, but it's not a requirement.

Thanks!!

Detroit True-Trac. Auburn makes a nice one, too.

yup, have one of the those POS things in my R/T. Sometimes it locks, sometimes it doesn't. When it doesn't the right rear tire just spins like it is on ice.

I called power-trax and they have sent me a total of 3 units thus far. Their position is the tolerances in the dodge carriers are very loose. The power-trax depends on very tight tolerances to function properly. That's why they work sometimes in dodges, and other times they don't. If you have one of the sloppy carriers, you're screwed. There is no fix. My R/T sits until a Detroit Locker goes in. I'm not the only one in the R/T club who has been bitten by this issue, I just took the time to research and figure it out.

Do you happen to have any pix of the timbren install on your truck ? The rear is what I'm interested in. I'm wondering if they'll eliminate the need for a notch. I have maybe 3" of travel, before contact, now. I'm mainly trying to stop that hard slap, when it bottoms out.

I use a DTT and considered the Powertrax as an alternative to a full swap out. First I had heard there were problems with them.
For a 4-4-1/2 drop in the rear the Timbren (A-155-65) is the answer for those who do not want to go lower or want to notch the frame. It will handle almost all the hard hits.

I believe every lowered Ram can benefit from using Timbren springs. They simply make driving the truck a pleasure. Now if you are low enough to need a notch, then you need to raise it back up to a 4-4-1/2" drop or install the notch. I just bought a set of rears and fronts for a friend and they are $39.99 ea plus $8 shipping. A140-65 front and A155-65 for rear. They are drop shipped to your address. I have a pair of NIB fronts I'll make a deal on, PM me if interested.
