When switching to Mobil 1 lube in the differentials and transfer case, do I just stick with the factory weights?

Anything I need to be aware of? Other than the additive for the LSD rear?

Also, can you or is it recommended to put either of these in the auto trans?

Looking for better protection and whatever will help the MPG.

I run Mobil 1 in the motor, but haven't decided on Mobil 1 or Amsoil for the rest.

Yes, stick to the manufacturer's recommended weights.

You might want to give AMSOIL a try, even if it's for only one service interval. In this case, you could switch from Mobil 1 5W-30 to the Series 2000 0W-30. It makes a noticeable difference.

It says in one of the manuals, that if you plan to tow anything, change the 90W gear oil out with 75W/140 synthetic.

Mooses with the AAM rear end require 75w-90 gear oil. They don't use the heavier oil in the 2500. I checked when I changed mine 1000 miles ago. The recommendation for the heavier oil is for the 1500.
