Just Purchased Transgo 45RFE-HD2 Kit

I just went to Summit today and picked up the kit. I will be doing the full install snap ring, upgrade to pump, and VB spring upgrade. I already have the Sonnax so I am not going to install the resister.

I know people have their feelings about going deep into the trans and just have a trans shop do it. I will probably do the VB spring upgrade soon and then do the full snap ring and pump spring upgrade when I do the torque converter install later this year.

I know that this will not be as good as the superchips trans tuning but I just had my experience with that and am not one that wants to stack tuners

It's not bad at all get a milk crate an punch out 4 squares and set it inside a catch pan the trans has to stand on end (output shaft down) when pulled apart and assembled or the bearings intue clutches move and bad things happen wen you go to drive it

Also by chance could you please measure the resistance on that resistor curious to know what it is

Actually doing a little more reading the snap ring is pretty much for the older trans. For our models the snap ring was already upgraded from factory to fix the issues from the 2nd gen rams. So I am just going to do the pump hardware upgrade and the vb upgrade.

For the DIY folks. The difference between the Sonnex and Transgo LP boosters is that the value is in series with sensor with a the Sonnex and in parallel with the Transgo. Makes me think the Transgo is a little more sophisticated in design.
