I hate the way my truck shifts!???

I don't like the way my truck shifts. I feel as if it's always a gear to high when at speeds of around 30-60. So sometimes when I punch it, I feel like it should drop a gear versus ramp up on a higher gear, which sometimes feels not as fast. Overall I feel it shifts better with o/d off..

Is this something you change with the programer or could it be a trans issue? If done with a programmer is that part of getting a custom tune?

yes it can be adjusted in tuning. if you would like to dial the truck in we can do so with tuning. for a small fee we can have that acting however you want it too. granted a line pressure booster and shift kit would be a good idea also to aid with speeding and firming stuff up then tune it.

side not will be able to do those gears soon if you want to at my buddys shop on the lift he will charge a little but he has all the tools we could ever need and the ease of the air not the floor to make it more pleasant of a job. let me know.

I remember hearing it could be changed. I just started to think it might have a problem. Where do i get the line pressure booster or shift kit? Is there any specs i should look for?

I defenitely still wanna get the gears done. I'm excited to feel the difference. Using the shop sounds like a great idea, really beats doing it on the floor. Let me know when your ready and I'll check my on call schedule and make room if need be.

THANKS

45RFE Performance Parts from PATC, 45RFE, 545RFE

then you want the line pressure booster for the 545rfe
sk 45rfe shift kit

you can get the hd 2 reprogramming kit if you want it has a few other parts that go inside the pump but until you rebuild it I would say you will just be holding onto the extra parts that's up to you.

Looks like the pressure boost is plug and play. Does the shift kit require dropping the trans or anything major?

Can the line pressure booster cause any problems on a stock 07' 545RFE trans, like leaking seals, or other problems. I have been thinking of plugging one of these on my trans.

no. it will only help hold better by tricking the comp into thinking it is running less pressure than it actually is causing the comp to turn it up more. better holding power less slip better perf.

on a side not what nobody does though with it in you should have a quicklearn done so it relearns the volumes since it will fill faster due to higher pressures and what not. it is not req but sug. simply buy it plug it in and drive around a little and let it adjust then have fun.

Thanks Keith for the info. I ordered the booster. Nice to find a mod thats not too expensive. I should have got the shift kit. I looked on you tube and it doesn't look to horrible to do. I gotta get a new pan gasket anyways so I'm gonna make that the next mod after the gears.

its a simple thing to switch out. main thing is lay the springs out as you take them out and don't mix or move anything around. also side note the valve body feels stuck once all the bolts are out be careful it will pop right off there quick I dropped my first one way back due to that.
