Welcome to the forum, always good to see another 03 join up. Your description unfortunately sounds like the classic 03/04 broken valve spring. It is not recommended to drive the truck until the valve covers have been removed and the springs inspected. Good luck and let us know what you find. Pictures are always good.

Def pull the covers and inspect the springs if the coil and plug are now new it's either a broken spring, worn out/broke rocker, or no compression at all (unlikely)

Welcome. Sorry to hear about issues with your 03. Sad to say but I had a broken valve spring on mine after I got it many years ago. It sounds like the same thing mine was doing.

Good luck and keep us posted.
