Finally Getting 4.56s and shorter tires

Im running a 22x9" rim with a 305/45 tire. Ill eventually get a 20x9a and run 305/50/20. With that gear and tire size, will I be spinning more than hooking?

It all depends on the neighborhood you hook in!

I also just installed the Eaton Truetrac with the Motive 4:56 gears .
I'm running the SRT 22x10 wheels with the 305/45 tire too...I think you will love the 4:56 combo with your current tire/wheel set-up as I do... however going to less weight and a shorter diameter tire/wheel combo will give you even quicker hook-up.

IMO, you'll really like it... I've run 28" tires with a 4:10 and it was sweet. Good luck..

Not sure how much a 0.8" diameter reduction will actually do. The 4.56s will wake it up. What gears are in it now?

Yep you'll need to go more than .8" smaller to see results...as mentioned try the current set-up first with the new 4:56's...it makes a huge difference...the tranny works better...everything works better.

Once a year I have to mount my stock tires to pass inspection, there is roughly a 2" difference in tire heigth between the stock and my normal tires and the difference is very very noticable, even to the point that I thought there was something wrong with my engine! So I'm pretty sure that you would notice a 0,8" difference.

Picture says a thousand words :-)

Once you've run short tires it's hard going taller again.
