Alright guys and gals i will eventually make a complete how to on this one but for now i wanted to share the photos with you and give you the basic requirements i did this all in a one "CAR" garage on jackstands lol. Yes it is possible to do this, there is some things differently you must do but dont be intimidated. Since i have the mcgaughys 2/4 drop i had to shorten my driveshaft compliments of AUSTIN DRIVETRAIN (they do the best damn job), 1" which gave me enough space for dips and bumps to prevent a cracked tailhousing on the transmission and still be in a comfortable zone as far as yoke slip and output shaft go. The leafs bolt up under the axel so this works great for dropped trucks, if not im sure you could cut your stock perches and weld them ontop of this axel but that requires some more work. The D60 has a pinion yoke instead of a flange so the stock driveshaft flange has to go, and the u joint is different as well. I got what we call a Bastard joint with two bearing cap sizes one for our 1330 series drivelines and one for the 1350 SRT-10 series driveline you can get that part here http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Dana...onversion_W0QQitemZ130101891197QQcmdZViewItem if not just search the 1330 to 1350 conversion joint. I went ahead and bought two new girdles and 4 bolts for them at dodge that hold the u joint onto the pinion yoke. The axel i bought came with brakes but if you need hemi brakes on them you can buy brackets to mount stock calipers onto the axel.If you have questions feel free to ask me, here are the pics.

Great pics. I am doing the swap in a few weeks so I look forward to your writeup. I completely rebuilt and detailed my axle while it it out. Also installed a set of 4:56's.
Actually yes the brakes did make a noticeable difference, you dont really pay attention to rear brakes but i immediately felt the difference, of course it could also be the new fluid, because you can plan on draining the system after you take those lines off. I bled the whole system and put in brand new fluid. I can definitely help you out with that install when you have questions, if you are "mechanically inclined" this should be easy, I started at 7:30 with a buddy with the wheels on the truck and had the new one on with wheels in about 2.5 hours, of course it wasnt driveable until i had my driveshaft reworked. I also plan on welding in a bracket for the Wheel hop Damper ontop of the diff and putting on the rear sway bar from an srt10.
I've got a D60 lined up for a post-deployment swap, but I was under the impression that its spring mounts were on top of the axle. If they are underneath like yours, it'll mean a bit more work to get new ones welded on top.
there is a double standard here though i did forget to mention, if you get one out of a QC srt-10 then the mounts are on top, if you get one out of the RC srt10 then they are on bottom for the factory flip kit.
I'm getting ready to put my DANA 60 in, and I had a couple questions. The handbrake cables look fine but how about the brake hose to distribution block? Just use the stock hose? Is the speed sensor plug the same? And last, how's your rear end doing? After 4 rebuilds on my 9.25 I'm hoping the Dana 60 will last.
sorry im way late, i replied to your p.m. The rearend is holding up great, if you got the conversion joints just keep an eye on them, check them with your oil changes make sure the caps still look okay and keep em greased up. The sensor is the same. I actually used my stock sensor because the one on my d60 was cracked.
I had my driveshaft modified to take a proper U-joint for the Dana 60. I can switch the sensors in hopes that the Dana 60 sensor is bad, but my speedo is off as well as my cruise control? I'm wondering if there is a factory program that will correct the problem.

when i went from 3.55s to 3.92s i changed my gear ratio via drbIII scan tool. Im not sure about the toner ring, there are differences from the super 60 and normal d60. I dont know anyone that has installed a super 60.
Any big difference between the RC and QC hights? Any extra mounts? I have a 04 QC, and want a SRT10 Rear axle.
