Ok update on the install, sorry but ive been so busy with work and this install. First night we got the front swapped out, done, and it looked like we could finish tomorrow or even that night if we pulled all nighters. Then came the rear end, as we tore into that we found the LSD clucth clips were everywhere, pieces and fragments were covering the magnet and 2 broke inhalf and wedged themselves in the carrier and cut a nasty groove into the right side of the cap and housing. The pieces of clips destored the carrier so I ordered a detroit trutrac LSD and had to wait 2 days until that got here. When that showed up we hustled to get it back together and in the process forgot all about switching over the toner ring so we get it all back together and go for a test ride to find the speedo didnt work so put it back on the hoist and called it a night. The next night I tore it back apart and switched the toner ring and threw it back together and reset it up, went throught the brake in period and finally got to see what the gears did for Cam (trucks name lol.) All in all the gears are a nice upgrade, but I really thought from all the research and reading that they would have made a bigger difference. Dont get me wrong the truck is faster acclerating, but once in 3rd gear it still falls flat on its face. Is there anything that can solve this stupid 3rd gear issue short of a custom trans with a different gear ratio? Maybe torque management is killing my acceleration? I dont know much about TM so if anyone can explain it would be greatly appericated.
