Clutch issue

New day, new problems :-)

Truck ran well for about 2000 miles, but last week I started loosing clutch pressure. I could gradually feel the clutch engagement point becoming lower and lower in the clutch pedal travel until it hit the floorboard and couldn't get it into reverse anymore.

Bled the system and all was well again, but not 24hours later, the engagement point is already dropping towards the floorboard again. Any ideas, no visible leaks?

Gonna get some new fluid later and flush/rebleed the system.

It's been a long time since I've had a hydraulic clutch. But if it isn't leaking externally then it has to be leaking internally. Since I assume the reservoir is on the master cylinder, than I'd look at seals/check valve to find what's causing the leak back... I know this must be frustrating, hang in there.

Nevermind, found the problem , master cylinder was leaking towards the inside of the cab and all the oil went under the carpet, therefore I missed it.

Piston and bore are scored :-(, probably my own fault. I changed the pedal ratio therefore the rod was off angle slightly. I thought this was ok, guess not, live and learn once again.

Christof, how about an adjustable mounting plate that can slide up or down allowing you to properly align the master cylinder to the clutch lever?

Just ordered 2 new ones (they're not that expensive) a 1" bore like the old one and a 3/8 bore, the smaller bore should result in a less stiff pedal and a bit more pedal travel before the clutch engages.

Time will tell, the struggle continues
