2500 or 3500 transmission cooler on a 1500

Somewhere I heard that a 2500 or 3500 transmission cooler is bigger than those on the 1500s, but will mount up and the lines will match up with those one the 1500s. And of course a bigger transmission cooler will help you keep your tranny cooler. Anyone know the truth to this rumor?

Hahaha. I wanted a bigger cooler so I price shipped one well they were a lot of
Money so. One day sitting inside looking outside saw my 1500 hemi and my 2500 hemi with massive factory cooler. Well I said I don't tow with the 2500 anymore anyway. 10mins later I had a 1500 with a 2500 cooler lol. They are identical connection wise and the radiator has a tab mount already there simply move your middle clip up to top hole and bolt it on have fun!

Hi All,
I am wondering if this is what was listed as "heavy duty transmission cooler". It was not listed in the standard equipment, but was listed separately on my build sheet print out. The highest trans temp I have seen even in a stop and go traffic jam was 167 degrees. And no it wasn't Celsius.
Just a thought.

I have a 3500 cooler in my 1500 as well. Really easy modification, cheap insurance in my book.

Worth it especially if you have modifications that create more trans heat
