2007 Dodge Ram 1500 QC Trans. problem

Today I went to fill my truck with fuel, all was well to the service station (4 Miles), on the way back home, I was going about 70 MPH, I accelerated, I had a downshift, and reached 80 MPH, that is when the engine revved up as if it was in neutral, I let off, speed dropped to about 75 MPH, I accelerated again, trans acted like it went in neutral again. I slowed down to 60 MPH without any problem accelerating. I got off the interstate, took a highway, and drove 2 miles at 60 MPH, I noticed my truck didn't seem to go into overdrive. I was traveling at 60 MPH with the tach showing 2500 RPM, so I knew it isn't in overdrive. I cycled switch twice to lock out tow mode, and overdrive mode, with no changes. Trans temp was less than 150 degrees, and I am pretty sure my tach use to read about 1900 RPM's @ 60 MPH. I checked the fluid level while hot all was normal. I have a Sonnax trans line pressure booster installed for about 5,000 miles now. I have 71,900 miles on my truck. SC Performance 91 Octane tune installed. Is this something major, or do I have a minor problem?

Unfortunately sounds very familiar what happened to us when we fried the 545rfe transmission ( I believe the clutch packs were burnt up ). Park the truck it only gets worse till you fix the issue.

I'm sure someone else here will have input for you.

Sounds like possibly rebuild time. Mine does this once in awhile for some reason also though. Try taking it to speed again tomm of you can and if the same thing happens it's rebuild time!

I checked for any codes, there were none found, with two attempts, using my Digital Scan Tool, and my SuperChips CORTEX 3950.

I reloaded the Performance 91 Octane Tune with my SuperChips CORTEX 3950. I will drive it again tomorrow to see if this made any difference. I didn't make any advanced changes to the transmission. I moved the shifter thru the range from park down to low, back up to park, everything was normal without any unusual noises.

I had my local Dodge dealer install a new 3500 Trans. oil cooler, and a new deep trans. oil pan. At the same time the trans. filters, and fluid was replaced using factory fluid, and 4x4 filters, due to the deep trans oil pan. This was done 1,723 miles ago.

Mine has done what your saying yours is doing but I would have a p0700 p0734 p0735, an a searching for a new trans. Maybe take the sonnax off an try. I used to run one on my original trans but I don't believe the hype in it

Hope all is ok . 72K miles doesn't seem like much for major problems even on these 'weak sister' transmissions unless you trash the hell out of your tranny on a frequent basis - but it appears you certainly take above average care of your truck.
