Does anyone know if the 4x4 rear end is different than the 2WD rear end in a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Hemi, 10.5" AAM axle?

I've found a posi unit from a 4X4 and want to swap it into a 2WD. Car-part.com lists them as different.

I'm no expert but I would think if it was a 10.5" AAM it shouldn't matter. I would suggest that if you're having someone else to the switch to let them know your concern and see what they say. Good Luck!
