2003 2500 Hemi front axle binding

Hey everyone.. Could use some help. Everyone knows the feeling when you are in 4WD and try and pull into a parking space and the drive train binds up. In 2WD I can feel it just there is no power going through the drive train. Its like having a truck with locking hubs locked out of 4WD. When going slow the wheel actually shakes a bit going real slow. Does the front axle ever disengage? Just feels like something is stuck.

I did a new right side wheel bearing and it could use a ball joint. It has just a touch of play... Truck has 62,000 miles on it.

Any help to test or check it would be really appreciated.

Bill

Jack the truck up remove wheels and turn all the way to left try and rotate by hand. Then do to right same deal. You may have a binding u joint up there. Also make note of the joints and any possible rust looking dust. That would indicate a bad joint to. Also the diff may be internally locked up also hand check should confirm
