07' 545RFE Trans. Case Question

Is there a place, on the 545RFE trans case, where a trans fluid temp gauge sender unit can be connected. If so, where would it be connected to on the case? I really don't want to spend $300.00 for a trans pan machined to accept a sender unit.

A couple ways you can do this. You can tap into the trans return line by using an Autometer sending block or buy a Russel bulkhead fitting and adapters from Jeg's and use your current pan and while the pan is off install a drain plug.

I have been eyeing this extra capacity trans. aluminum oil pan that has a boss tapped for a sender unit.

When you weld in the drain bung, weld in another to mount the temperature sensor. If you wanted to use a new 4x4 pan with added capacity you can purchase them around $55 I think. Have to check on prices....

And there is the AeroForce Interceptor gage that reads many of the factory sensors including the trans temperature by simply plugging it into your OBDII port.

either way is nice. I too soon will be adding in 2 gauges 1 for trans temp and a dual function guage for air pre-post aftercooler.
