HTC family needs your prayers

Some of you newer members may not have known George (D500) since he hasn't been active for some while. He was a mainstay for years around here. Several years he had a stroke and lost just about everything. As a result he moved from New York to Tennessee. A few months ago he was diagnosed with colon cancer. They removed a large portion of his colon and he now knows it is in his lymph nodes. Since it is classed as stage 3 he will have a "port" implanted somewhere around his neck this Thursday. That is where his chemo will be administered. George was and is a great friend to many of us. I ask that you add him to your prayers and pray that the doctors will be able to put his cancer in remission or cure him.

Cancer is miserable. Never knew him but anyone battling cancer is worthy of a prayer.

Not everyone can be queen.....there has to be someone standing on the curb to wave as I go by.

UPDATE.... The port they implanted became infected and almost cost him his life. The infection had spread to many of his organs including his heart and kidneys. They finally took the port out last week and he seems to be responding to antibiotics. Hopefully he will continue to recover from the infection. I hope he will let them treat him for cancer, but after the problem with the infection I doubt he will allow them to do another port which they say he needs.
