Big Chief's Big Wreck.

Not sure if anyone else has heard yet, but Big Chief from Street Outlaws was in a very bad wreck. The Crow is gone and he is in the hospital hurt pretty bad.
He was racing Chuck I think, and Chuck crossed the line and clipped Chiefs rear quarter and caused him to spin and roll.
Do a Google search and you can see pictures of the carnege. He was in critical condition for a time. But is out of that now.

It was a Chicago racer that took him out. What a shame it is glad he's ok for the most part. They have insurance on those cars so it will be back badder than before what he will build is gonna be the ?

Bit off topic, but have you listened to their podcasts where they discuss every episode. It's hilarious, you can find them on the midweststreetcar site.

And it wasn't Chuck from the show, it was another one.

I like to watch the show too - but I'm curious how they pay off the law (if it is truly held on public streets) to avoid any legal action and how they cover any potential damage to taxpayer property .

I'm pretty sure for the show they get some sort of permission. They set up light towers and people hanging out. To bad for the Crow.

I have read that the idea the it is real is faked. The police actually shut down the streets to the public and emergency personnel are indeed on hand. The police make an occasional appearance just for added realism. It still makes for good entertainment.

on the entertainment factor R/T - But the payoff seems pitiful for the invested $$$'s required to win...if I'm going to run a $250K+ machine I'm going to look for a much bigger potential payday IMO .
