Has anyone had any experience with the MTX Thunderform box for our trucks? I'm not looking to blow the glass out of houses as I drive by, but I would like some more low end.

I did a bunch of research when I was looking for a box (before I built the center console box). I read that they were just MDF, nothing fancy.

I bought a probox (which is actually for sale now). The thing is a great box! Fits a single 10 or 12, goes under the rear passenger side.

most all speaker boxes are made from HD MDF and then covered.

The "Fox Box" are the best on the market in my opinion 2X10" ported or 2x12" sealed with a pair of Alpine type R and a 1200 watts amp it will shake something up it also can be painted to match the interior or the exterior of the truck, and the price is not bad at all.

I have a thunderform in my 01 1500 and moved it to my 02 2500 when i got it. I blew out the subs that came with in after only a couple of months. I replaced them with Kicker Comp VR 10"s never had a problem with them.

not quite.

I had a cheapo box like they sell on ebay and the probox was nothing like it. The probox is bigger, MUCH heavier and was covered in a spray on bedliner material. Awesome box.

I hardly ever see them on ebay, and when you do - they aren't new. In fact, when I ordered mine - I called the guys at probox to ask a few questions. They don't sell online (don't allow it), and I only had one chain that sold them up here in St Louis.

Thats what i wanted to hear. I want a good box, just a single sub to incorporate to the factory infinity system. I don't need BOOM BOOM BASSSSSSSS like I was 16 and rrunning 4x 15's in the bed of an S10. I want clear sounding and accurate bass to mix well with the system. A single 10 will do this. Just need a good box to hood a good sub like a JL Audio.

Yo JX,

I just dropped this in last week. You can get it with a built in 200 watt amp or without. This one has the amp! I'm also not looking to knock the windows out on the car next to me so this is perfect for that. The two 10's hit pretty hard for what they are and they look great too!!!
