Subbox buyer beware

I'm not one to bash on a product the subbox I received from https://www.atrendusa.com/atrend-veh...ad-cab-02-12-2 is terrible..it's been plagued with leaks from day one...I band aided the repair but It got worse, so today I pulled the lid off si i could reseal completely.it was easy..6 brad nails and what looked like a 1/8 bead of hot melt glue..it sucks because it fits decent and the airspace is bang on to my Polk sub..he's a few pics..speaker terminal cup leaked bad too

Omg what junk. Can you take it apart and glue and screw it back together? If it's mdf pre drill the holes first. Glue the joints screw the panels and caulk the Inside and it will last forever

I've got the same issue with my console box. You can see the carpet flexing when its cranked.

I have a buddy that builds band pass sub's. He has an 11 ram he just got. Should be joining HTC soon. But he's going to build a custome box for me one of these days.

I believe you are on the correct track with using fiberglass to turn this poor quality POS into something that will last and give you good results for a long time .

I have a customs one that's fiberglass and wood. I've had it for years with no problems.

I have the program for calculating exact diameters and all myself lol. I use to build boxes for a ton of kids in high school! I had two audiobahn 10" woofers hitting 136db in my truck lol on a 1600 watt amp stunned everyone at the comp hahaha lived it. Fiberglass is fun too did a few boxes like that also.

Any of you guys used the MTX Thunderform boxes? I am going to put 2 10 Type r's in the 04 qc but I have read ton of bad reviews about the Atrend boxes and this doesn't help it any. I know they're like twice the price but if they're problem free is may be worth it. Or any other brand of box you guys could think of I'd look into those too.
