So there's two sets of terminals on my box, one +- for each sub. The shop that put them in my last truck has a wire between the positive terminals. They had two wires from the negative terminals on the box run to my amp, an RF P400-1, which has A+- and B+- terminals. So where do the wires from the two negative terminals on the box go to on the amp?

On the speakers, you can run series or parallel. Parallel is positive to positive on both speakers, neg to both neg. Series is positive on amp to positive on one speaker then that speaker neg to other speaker positive then neg of the other speaker to neg on amp. Make sure the speakers can handle the ohms though. The amp should have two terminals that can be bridged for subs. look for other pos and neg markings on amp. If you are not sure, have a shop run the wires, or at least look at the setup and advise you. Also the amp will need to be setup correctly. Maybe go to best buy or a stereo shop to ask them.

Thanks for the info. I haven't changed any of the gain settings or anything like that. And these were professionally installed by a competition-winning shop in my last truck and sounded great. (I was home on leave from Iraq and had extra money and little time, so I didn't skimp. lol) When I bought this truck, a shop here wanted $1,600 to move my system (HU, BU camera, Bluetooth, components and amp, and subwoofers and amp) into the new truck. I couldn't see paying that.

That's good info, though. Sounds like mine are parallel, so coming out of the amp I should hook A- and B- to the negative of each sub? Parallel doesn't require a + feed from the amp?

Okay, guys...I feel like a dumdum. I'll blame the rum and root beer I had last night. I just looked at the back of the box again. The subs are wired in series, Sub A+ to Sub B- so mods can delete this thread if you want.
