Hey Guys,

I have an 08 Ram 1500 QC and I wanted to upgrade the stereo. I have the basic factory cd player with 4 speakers. I wanted to put in a Pioneer AVIC-X930BT Double DIN indash navigation and my speakers are blown too so wanted to put all new speakers as well just wanted to confirm if this is all I need:

1- OEM NAVI Bezel
2- PAC-CAN BUS cable, can anyone confirm which is the best one to use
3- ISO double din mounting bracket / trim (metra?)
4- can someone confirm what speaker sizes to use
5- Speaker cable / adapter so i dont have to cut any speaker wire
6- Speaker Mounting bracket?
7- Do I have to bypass anytype of factory amplifier?

Thanks

ill try to help a bit, front doors are 6x9, rear doors are 5.25, if you got the basic 4 speaker system u most likely do not have a factory amp.u will need an antenna adapter. Metra makes the wiring adapter for a good price. that should be about everything including what you listed, as for speakers you cant go wrong with kicker, alpine or infinity.id also recommend a 4 ch amp for the speakers, i run my infinity kappas on a jbl amp and it sounds awesome.

I got a OEM NAV Bezel from an online MOPAR parts dealership who is also an eBay store. Airpark Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Scottsdale. They beat everyone's price and I have been back to them for other stuff 3 more times.

PacAudio adapters will be needed for the head unit swap C2R-CHY4 and if you add an amp (and I suggest you do, the stock amps suck!) then you'll need the C2A-CHY. If you have steering wheel controls for your audio, you'll need the SWI-PS unit as well.

You can use your existing speaker wire and a line out converter. Saves on wire.

If you go with the stock speaker sizes you won't need any adapters.

You will bypass the stock amp (in your truck it's located behind the glovebox, then look up to the dash support framing) with the Pac Audio C2A-CHY. Your stock amp will stay in place and will provide a digital signal through the PacAudio harness to the new amp if you install one.

I'd strongly suggest you consider doing the following:

1. Get a component speaker system, 2-way works best for the truck cabs IMHO.

2. Get a good amp. I used a JL XD400/4.

3. Get a good, mid priced speaker for the rear...like the Infinity Reference series speakers. Stick with the round 5.25" speaker.

4. Consider a sub, sub amp and remote gain control knob.

Good luck with your audio upgrade!
